These Terms of Service govern your use of LockerUp Self Storage facilities and services. By accessing or using LockerUp, you agree to be bound by these terms.
LockerUp LLC, operating as LockerUp Self Storage, provides secure self-storage locker rental services at our facility located at 2848 Church Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11226. We offer storage units in a climate-controlled space in multiple sizes (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large) with 24/7 HD surveillance, keycode-controlled access, and an online tenant portal for account management.
Operating Hours: 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM daily (facility access). Account management and online services are available 24/7.
To rent a locker, you must:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and keycode. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.
Rental periods are month-to-month unless otherwise specified. Each month begins on the date you reserve your locker and continues for 30 days. Your locker assignment and rental terms are outlined in your rental agreement and online account.
You have the right to exclusive possession of your locker during the lease term. LockerUp reserves the right to inspect lockers for compliance with these terms, safety, and legal requirements, upon notice.
Payment is due on the first day of each rental period. Monthly rental rates vary by locker size and current promotions. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and digital payment methods through our secure online portal.
A late fee of $50 or 10% of the monthly rent (whichever is greater) will be applied if payment is not received within 5 days of the due date. LockerUp reserves the right to lock access to your locker if payment is 15 or more days overdue.
Sales tax will be applied to rentals in accordance with New York State regulations.
You may terminate your rental at any time by providing written notice (email to support@lockerup.app) at least 7 days before your desired move-out date. Early termination without notice forfeits your rental deposit and may result in additional fees for locker restoration.
LockerUp may terminate your rental with 15 days' written notice for any breach of these terms, non-payment, or suspected illegal activity. Upon termination, you must vacate your locker and remove all personal items within the specified timeframe.
The following items are strictly prohibited in LockerUp facilities:
LockerUp is not responsible for damage, loss, or confiscation of prohibited items. Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of your rental and potential legal action.
LockerUp provides 24/7 HD surveillance and secure access controls, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. Rental of a locker does not constitute bailment or assumption of liability for your stored items.
Limitation of Liability: LockerUp's total liability for any damages, loss, theft, or injury is limited to the amount of rent paid in the last 12 months or $250, whichever is greater. In no event shall LockerUp be liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
We strongly recommend that tenants obtain personal storage insurance for items of significant value. Our staff and equipment are not responsible for damage resulting from natural disasters, power outages, climate control failures, or acts beyond our control.
Any disputes arising from this agreement shall first be addressed through informal negotiation. If resolution is not achieved within 30 days, you and LockerUp agree to binding arbitration under New York law.
Arbitration will be conducted by a neutral arbitrator in Kings County, New York, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Both parties agree to waive the right to a jury trial.
This agreement is governed by the laws of New York State, and LockerUp is subject to NY State Lien Law §182 regarding abandoned property in storage facilities.
By providing your email address or phone number, you consent to receive electronic communications from LockerUp, including account updates, promotional offers, payment reminders, and legal notices. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time through your account settings, but cannot opt out of transactional communications.
LockerUp reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Your continued use of the facility constitutes acceptance of modified terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically for updates.
